Le Sourire - General Caracteristics
Le Sourire ( The Smile in English) was the name
of a small newspaper written by painter Paul Gauguin
while he was living in Tahiti.
Le Sourire is a sailing yacht built by the META FRANCE
shipyards in 1988 and refurbished in 2000.
Her hull is made of Strongall aluminium. She has a lifting
keel to enter into shallow anchorage, two powerful engines
and a salon with outside viewing to enjoy the beautiful
landscape even while staying inside protected from the
cold and the wind. |
Le Sourire
is adapted to all sorts of expeditions and crews: discovery
voyages for nature and animals lovers, scientific work
or documentaries, mountaineering, skiing or diving expeditions...
Spanish,
french, german and british TVs have already choosen
Le Sourire for their expeditions to Antarctica, South
Georgia, South Sandwich, Cape Horn and to the chilean
channels. See

Le Sourire - Salon |
Life
on board
Le
Sourire is a secure, simple and comfortable yacht without
superfluous luxury. We have chosen a spacious boat because
comfort at sea is important and everyone must enjoy
a certain intimacy. We don't pretend to attend clients
in a 5* hotel but to receive people willing to know
these regions in a different way, and transmit to them
our passion and emotions.
|
Life
on board follows the rhythm of the yacht, according to the
navigation, manoeuvres and excursions on land. The atmosphere
is home like, and the participation in the navigation and
everyday life is always appreciated.
Le Sourire
has
an important library on austral regions.
